gold stars small c

Last year, I had grand plans for 2020. None of them have come to pass. Part of my reason for starting a blog again is to have somewhere that I track what I’m trying to do and how I’m doing with it.

Instead, on New Year’s Eve, I got sick and stayed sick for about a month.

So, despite everyone making laughing warnings about not setting big goals or saying things like “this is my year!”, I am still going to set some goals. All of them will be broken down in to smaller pieces, in the next few blog posts. For now, the 2021 list:

THE GOALS:

  1. simplify & sell. I know this has been almost a buzzword in the last few years: going small, simplifying, minimalizing, and so forth, but I need to do it so I can meet the next goal. And I’m hoping I’ll make so money so I can:
  2. buy an RV or Van. I want to travel. I want to go to art shows as an artist. I want to live at the beach but also the woods and sometimes the lake. Obviously, this is a bit tough at the present. But maybe by the time it’s okay to do this, I’ll have accomplished the steps to do it!
  3. learn: drawing, printing, and other art modalities. I have lots of ways to do this, but the biggest is attending college. I’ve enrolled in community college for spring semester.
  4. learn: ukulele. I own one, and have for awhile now. Time to pick it up again and learn how to play it. (Need music theory too.) Probably something that will happen in the Summer.
  5. graphic novel/animation. Possibly just one, possibly both, revolving around the same idea.

THE TASKS:

  1. meditate daily
  2. cook more meals
  3. journal
  4. walk when we’re through this bad spike
  5. yoga

And that’s the year.
